Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday Pics

Hey, everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much! Oh, and hopefully you didn't go shopping on Black Friday. If you did, then I'd assure you that THIS is what you'd be in. Photos taken at the Natick Mall.

Return of the warrior and a wierd sign in Swansea

Hey, everyone! I'm back. Finally, it's safe for me to stay overnight at the house where I can safely upload pics more often once again. I'm really sorry for all the delay. :'(

Now, here's an interesting looking guide sign you'll see in western Swansea. This is taken on MA-136 North as it approaches I-195. Notice that instead of having two signs, both directions are mentioned at the same sign, and in an interesting way. Notice the I-195 symbol is between "East" and "West." The mentioned cities are even placed correctly under their directionals, not to mention "next left" and "next right." This sign looks old, though. I'm sure MassDOT will do something to fix this soon.

Arch Bridge on I-84 in Connecticut

Hey, guys. Sorry it took longer than expected, but I'm back. Kind of. Anyway, this was taken on I-84 Westbound in Middlebury, Connecticut. Wow, that's a neat little arch bridge! New England has several arch bridges, but I think that this is the only one in Southern New England. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, that's South Street going over the highway.

Construction Update

Hey, everyone!

Sorry, I've been so busy with college, work, piano, etc. And the construction is usually keeping me from the house where I usually post pics. However, I am able to still use the computer used to upload the pics. So by the beginning of October (possibly October 3 or 4), I'll be posting a few new pics. Happy Autumn, everyone! Oh, and be advised that some roads (particulary small ones) can have alot of leaves on them, which can make the roadway slippery whenever wet.

Construction

Hey, everyone!

Due to the construction going on at my mom's house, I unfortunately won't be posting any pics until it's all done. Fortunately, they'll be plenty to post after the work is all finished! We apologize for any inconvenience. :'(

Stop & Shop Renovation

So one day, when I was at work (at the Stop & Shop on MA-9/Temple Street in Framingham), I learned that a renovation was to be in progress at the store. So a few days later, I was visiting the store with my dad to buy a few things. That's when I managed to get a few pics. Here are three of them.

August

And so, the last month of Summer. . . I'm sure there's still time for everyone to go on beach trips, and such. But you might wanna check for traffic first. . .

New Ride at Canobie Lake Park

Check out this new roller coaster called "Untamed." This was taken at Canobie Lake Park, along with a new "wild themed" section of the park. Now, I don't really like roller coasters that have loops, corkscrews, or any huge drops. Basically, I don't like going on any rides that involve drops that are too high, or that involve going upside down for even a split second! You guys can go on this ride, but PLEASE don't take me on it. Just for a fact. . .

Updates

Hey, guys!

Sorry it's been a while. I was just busy with work. Also, I will be going to Rhode Island during the second and third weekends of August. But hopefully I will get some good shots down there, including the rebuilt I-95/I-195 interchange just south of Downtown Providence. Hopefully you're having a great Summer so far!! :)

A HUGE pil 'o snow!

If you wanna see a pile of snow, this might as well be the biggest pile of snow you could find, taken at the parking lot opposite the Framingham AMC parking lot. Wow, just look at this! I heard a few parts were still there in June! I apologize for the glare. :()

A sneak peek from my first album

For now, here's a sneak peek at a sign you're gonna see from my first album. Photo taken on MA-2 in West Concord, MA.

New Album Coming Soon!

Hey, guys. Tonight, I'm gonna make my first album of the blog!! This album will focus on wierd signs, as well as sign errors and mistakes. Nobody's perfect, and this album will prove to us why. Now, before I can begin, does anyone know how to create an album?

Photos (correction)

Oh, also pardon my typos which may occur every now and then. Here, when I said "intersested," I meant "interested."

Photos

Hey guys,

I'll be spending most of this Summer doing alot of photographs. Most of them will be of highway scenery and signs. Some may be of other things I'm intersested in, such as Boston, the MBTA, beaches, etc. Expect the first batch of pics to be up by no later than next weekend.

The rotary

I thought I'd start things off with a little poem I made about rotaries, and what it's like to get stuck in them. Especially with THIS one at West Concord, MA. Unfortunately, it somehow got deleted from my "pictures" hard drive, but I still have it on Facebook. Here's the link.

Welcome to my blog!!

Hey, everyone!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Benjamin Long, and I am a twenty year old autistic person from New England. I am very fascinated with roads and highways in and around the United States and Canada. I also have interests in other types of travel (such as the MBTA system), the city of Boston itself, cats, Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Nintendo games (such as Mario and Pokemon), Yu-Gi-Oh, Football penalties, and Halo (a video game played on the xbox 360). Other hobbies I have include working at a grocery store, hanging out with friends, hanging out on Facebook, going out on walks, playing piano, and riding my bike.

This blog will mostly be related to Roads and Highways of New England, and Eastern New York. Hopefully soon, I may include more states. But even a "road blog" can't just have this as a subject, right? Right, so you'll be seeing other stuff as well. I hope you all enjoy this blog!
